According to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, reports that the federal capital was under lockdown after the assassination attempt against former Prime Minister (PM), Imran Kan were denied by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad.
It also rejected a notification that was making rounds on social networks, which claimed that the federal government had sealed off the federal capital under the directives of Ministry of Defence (MoD), in order to protect the law and order situation.
This development follows a fake notification that went viral online. It claimed that Islamabad and Punjab were sealed due to the volatile circumstances following the attack on PTI’s long march. Separately, the Pakistan Armed Forces condemned yesterday’s tragic incident. Inter-Services Public Relations released a statement condemning the shooting incident that occurred during the long march towards Gujranwala.
It also expressed condolences to one person for their loss and wished Imran Khan, and all others injured in this terrible incident, a speedy recovery.
It is important to mention that Senator Faisal Jved, MNA Mohammad Ahmed Chattha and former Governor Sindh, Imran Khan, Umar Dar and Imran Khan Media Manager, Arshad were among the injured.
