Dubai Airport's Traffic Reaches Highest Level in 2 Years

The Dubai International Airport’s passenger number is slowly returning to pre-pandemic levels , having increased to approximately 18.5 million in July, August between September and July (third quarter) in the current year.

According to details, Dubai Airport saw more than 18,455,939 visitors during the third quarter of 2018 this was the highest number ever since 17.8 millions in the months of January, February as well as March (first quarter) of 2020.

The director of Dubai Airport, Paul Griffiths has stated that number of passengers who fly between and to Dubai and not using the airport as a transit point has exceeded their expectations.

In addition, according to a statement by the company the projections for passenger numbers are now at 64.3 million by 2022, with the number projected to rise more.

It’s important to note that the airport handled around 46.3 million passengers from January and September. That is an 167.6 percentage year on year (YOY) increase.
